Welcome to the Earth Day 2009 EcoTerra Properties blog. My name is Trudy Kalush, I am the CEO of EcoTerra Properties & Investments. The first eco-centric real estate company in the greater Long Beach area, and I am all about everything that is real estate and/or green!

I am so proud to be a part of the generation that is finally getting it. We have carried on in our wasteful, gluttonous, unhealthful ways for too long. As a proud American, I have enjoyed the fruits of our country’s success. I have had all the trappings of “success”. A huge home, gadgets of every sort, a pair of shoes for each day of the year! I have eaten every new and improved processed food. I have been caught up in the “American” way of life…the best way of life. If my nails were short I bought longer ones, if my skin was too light I bought a tan, and I’ve owned every beauty product known to man, each in a little plastic bottle. I’ve had more cable channels than I could ever imagine and a TV in every room. I had whiter whites and bigger everythings. After all we are the most advanced, intelligent, successful society on the planet right…or are we.

Shortly after my son was born I started to look around with a new perspective. What I saw was troubling. We were wasting, polluting & using things up at a record pace. Our oceans dying, our forests disappearing, our water barely drinkable. What was going to be left for my son???? Panic set in. A desperation that I have never felt. I must do something…..NOW. My highest priority was to make things better for my son.

So here I am. I am the dandelion seed that is going to be a little yellow flower in your yard. I will spread my eco-seed into every crevace that I can find.
